055 - Wild Cat

Wearing: Vintage skirt, top, boots, bag & hat, eBay concho hat band, Assorted jewellery (vintage/India)

I took these photos a little while ago and have been meaning to edit and post them but life has been crazily busy, my internet at home as been wiped out due to an electrical storm over two weeks ago (it's getting fixed tomorrow hopefully) and I've been very stressed with assignment deadlines at Uni. Such is life I suppose..

054 - Hot Pink Apocalypse

Wearing: Everything thrifted/vintage, except silver jewellery from India/markets/Inspired Tribe

New outfit, (kind of) new clothes, new hair, new me? Definitely feeling like I'm the very hungry caterpillar, in the sense that I feel a metamorphosis coming along and, for once in my life, I'm going to go with the flow. Why? Because change is good, change is refreshing, change is necessary.
Change is something that I crave yet fear. I'm a ball of little contradictions because I've been stuck in a rut, my reality is not agreeing with my frame of mind, thus leaving me a little scatterbrained. But like the wise J.R.R Tolkein said, "not all those who wander are lost."

Outtake: 'Perfume Pendulum' Lookbook by Unearthen

(Photos taken from Unearthen/Coyote Negro)

Unearthen is not relatively new or unheard of. If you've been on tumblr for the last five years, I'm sure you would have seen the obsessive fad of their bullet crystal necklaces, and since I found out that Brit (from Disarming Darling/Backbite/Bad Vibes/Everything that is great and wonderful in my little fashion world) worked for them a few years ago, I have tried to keep an eye on some of their new stuff. Ya know, just in case that some fantastical piece of jewellery pops up that must be added to my ever growing collection.
But seriously, this lookbook is so heavily inspired by the 1970s that I was almost convinced that it was a vintage editorial. Simply because of the matte texture and prismatic/mirroring effect used upon the photos. But maybe that's just me having a certain taste obsession for the seventies aesthetic. I also love the holistic, chakra, wiccan vibes that are in this lookbook. It reminds me of Charmed when Prue, Piper & Phoebe would sit in the attic (filled with incredible antique furniture that I wish I could own) and scribe across their giant map of San Francisco.

053 - Long Haired Freaky People

Wearing: White lace bellbottoms c/o Nine Lives Bazaar, Vintage Harley Davidson t shirt, velvet jacket & boots, Custom designed bag from India, Assorted Jewellery from India/Markets/Inspired Tribe

Alas, I have returned safely from my travels in India and I'm back to reality; a reality which involves me, temporarily, testing out being a brunette. These photos were taken today whilst I was out with Denis in Newtown, having a spot of shopping and lunch in between the blustery rain that Sydney is currently delivering us. Also, within the next few days I'll be starting a three part series on my adventures in India. I'll be sharing my photos, my experiences and my stories. I promise to try and keep it succinct as possible, but we all know that's not going to happen. If you have any questions, or want to know something specific please feel free to drop me a comment either down below, or via Instagram, and I will try and answer it within one of the upcoming posts.
India was above and beyond anything I've ever experienced in my entire life - the people, the places, the food, the culture, the colour... A complete sensory overload. All these things have my heart aching to be back in a country so full of spirit, vibrance, peace, and chaos. A place where time moves on its own plane, and to live means something different entirely. India has most definitely stolen my heart.
