005 - Sunflower Goddess

Wearing: Thrifted sunflower dress, Lipstik clogs, Vintage leather backpack, Assorted jewellery from Inspired Tribe/Markets etc.

What is life?! Sorry for the lack of posts (I know that my last one was almost 8 months ago) but it was kinda stupid of me to attempt starting a blog in my final year of high school, so here I am, starting back at it again! I've been officially out of school for almost two months now and I'm loving it! I've been working loads and have been thrifting on my days off.
These photos were taken at the beginning of the week, my friend and I went out for mexican and then went down to the beach for milkshakes and banana bread (worst combination EVER). We headed up to the top floor of the council carpark and took these photos in our daylight savings golden hour, I'm very pleased with the results..

Wishing you all a safe and happy Christmas, and hopefully my posting will become more regular!

004 - Crowning Glory

Wearing: American Apparel Skirt & Top, Socks - Random Store in Berry, Demonia Creepers, Fringed Bag, Assorted Jewellery

As the school holidays are now drawing to an end, I tried to make the most of the last weekend and I went to Glebe Markets. I try to go to the Markets at least once a month, just to de-stress and have a bit of a breather and I always try to fit in another City destination (either Surry Hills or Newtown) and yesterday was Crown St, Surry Hills.
Glebe was good as usual, I picked up this fantastic flower crown that makes me feel like Tavi G. and the girls who ran the stall were awesome (photos 4th & 5th from the top). I also picked up an amazing crushed green velvet embroidered cape and on our way to catch the bus up into Town Hall we stumbled across a record fair and I managed to score a mint condition Fleetwood Mac Rumors Album.
I didn't buy anything at Surry Hills, I'm on the hunt for a debutante dress so I lost focus on trying to scour the variety of vintage stores along Crown St, but it also gets really monotonous when each 'vintage' store is selling the same animal top, with the same japanese re-modelled dresses, and identical 'vintage' bags and boots. Ah anyways, I hope everyone has had a lovely weekend!

Wearing: Thrifted denim jacket, Tree of Life velvet dress, Demonia creepers, Thrifted ethnic bag, Assorted jewellery

I went on a day trip to Berry, and had a nice day wondering the streets and little stores. These are my first lot of 'blog' photos that I've taken with my new DSLR and I'm so pleased with the results!

002 - Holocene

Wearing: American Apparel Mesh Dress (worn as top), Vintage skirt & Dr Martens

Last night I attended Bon Iver with one of my close friends. We went to Pancakes on the Rocks to begin with, and then strolled along Circular Quay. As soon as the Wolves (Act 1 & 2) played I teared up it was one of the most amazing nights of my life!

Outtake: Abbey Lee Kershaw

Yet again another inspiration post, because I haven't been anywhere that constitutes the use of a camera. But as you can see todays inspiration is Lil' Miss Abbster.
Abbey began off for me as hair colour inspiration in 2010, progressed to nose piercing inspiration in 2011, and in 2012, Style Jesus.  Her combinations of bindis, crucifixes, velvet, lace, sheer, chokers and indian-inspired jewels have me constantly frothing at the mouth. There isn't much else I can say about her, other than she is fucking fantastic.

Outtake: The Style Rookie

(All photos sourced from the Style Rookie)
It's an ugly afternoon, my bra-strap is digging into my arm, I'm listening to Neil Diamond, and now writing what I deem to be my first "proper" blog post (YAY). Most of you should be able to recognise the familiar face in the above pictures, Tavi Gevinson.
The Style Rookie, only 16 years old, has accomplished and achieved so much in the last 4 years -beginning her blog The Style Rookie at age 11, attending Fashion week at 13 and now creating teen online magazine Rookie. She has become one of my biggest muses and source of style inspiration over the past 8 months and I thought it would be fun to make one of my first posts a tribute to her. So here's to you Tavi!
